Garden Center Associate

We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Garden Center Associate/Cashier to join our team! This role includes plant care, assisting customers, and operating the cash register. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions, can lift at least 25 lbs, and is available to work weekends.​
Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with plant selection, gardening advice, and product recommendations. Training available for the right candidate.

Operate the cash register, process sales transactions, and handle payments accurately.

Water, prune, and maintain plants to ensure their health and quality. Training available for the right candidate.

Unload and stock deliveries of plants, soil, and garden supplies.

Lift and transport plants, soil bags, and other garden products (up to 25 lbs).

Keep the garden center clean, organized, and visually appealing.

Work outdoors in all types of weather, including heat, rain, and cold.
Qualifications:

Passion for plants, gardening, and customer service.

Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus (but not required).

Ability to work in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet).

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Comfortable handling cash, credit cards, and processing transactions on a POS system.

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs repeatedly.

Comfortable standing, bending, and moving throughout the day.

Weekend availability is absolutely required April - July. Must be able to work Mother's Day and Memorial Day Weekend.
